The ocean nearby sizzling through the black sand
In a secret verdant forest
Under the silver moon
I remember bathing in a waterfall
The moon shines silver through the skylight
The sound of the wind is like a velvet cloth
The freeway is a river of light in the darkness
It is soothing and melodic·
The day has overwhelmed the night ·
My blood sizzled in anticipation ·
The smell of salt in the air meant the surf was high
Her eyes still half asleep as I caressed her cheek
Her hair spilling down across her back, fragrant and shining
I remember my lovers lips and her intoxicating taste
The velvet texture of a cold peach, in sweet syrup, pleases my senses
The bells of St Mary's echo over fields of dry grass
I await the sun for relief
dreams of suffering haunt me
The child hides a toy for fear of loss
Chemical fires struggle for supremacy with the morning light
My love sleeps fitfully in the gathering dawn.
